LiDAR: Intel’s “new” Realsense and LiDAR is behind the competition

Intel posted two videos with demos of its recently announced Realsense ID and L515 MEMS LiDAR; Unfortunately, the technology inside is still behind Apple FaceID. For instance, the laser is still at 850nm and likely is an EEL rather than VCSEL. The size is much bigger than the other 3D solution such as iToF or dToF.
